Establishing a New Forest under FT10-CCF

Creating Resilient Forests for the Future

Forester and Pro Silva Ireland Chairperson, Manus Crowley, explains how establishing a new forest under the FT10-CCF afforestation scheme can help create resilient, productive forests for the future. By encouraging species diversity from the outset, FT10-CCF supports forests that are better equipped to withstand pests, disease, storms and the impacts of climate change, while also delivering high-quality timber, biodiversity benefits and wider ecosystem services. Learn how continuous cover forestry (CCF) principles can help shape the next generation of resilient Irish forests.

This video was produced by Crannóg Media for Pro Silva Ireland with funding support from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM).
